We are Take 2, a high energy dynamic duo rocking the metro club scene, private and corporate events, as well as multiple Caribbean Kitchen Parties since 2016. With strong male and female vocals, and the versatility to cover just about any genre of music you can think of, bring your dancing shoes and come prepared for a party.

Scott Hipson, formerly a member of the popular Country Rock band Last Call and the son of celebrated Maritime recording artist Charlie Hipson, brings a unique flair to the duo. His musical prowess perfectly complements the powerhouse vocals of Rita Near, a talented artist who has studied jazz and performed extensively throughout the Maritimes in various pop, rock, and country bands. Rita’s rich experience also includes captivating performances in numerous Atlantic Canada Ceilidh shows. Together, they create a dynamic musical synergy that captivates audiences and makes every performance a memorable experience.
